Active Release Technique (ART)® in Sarnia
Keeping you properly aligned is our top priority. With the Active Release Technique® (also known as ART), we do exactly that by going beyond your spinal bones and focus on soft tissue problems. It’s a non-invasive, hands-on manual technique for people suffering with soft tissue, nerve, and joint injuries to reduce pain or dysfunction. Using this technique, we can easily identify the issue and work to resolve it quickly.
Before adding ART, Dr. Erin White was frustrated with the results he saw when dealing with soft tissue injuries using only manual therapy. He has done the full-body ART course of study and is qualified as an ART provider. By adding another therapy that works in combination with our other services, we have seen better success with these kinds of injuries.

What to Expect
Our chiropractor evaluates the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments. If scar tissue is present, we’ll be able to feel it, because it prevents soft tissues from moving properly. This may cause reduced range of motion, loss of strength, and even pain. If nerve tissue is trapped, there may also be tingling, numbness, and weakness.
When problems are detected, a precise amount of pressure is applied. These manual maneuvers are normally applied at the site of your injury. Excellent results have been reported with the neuromuscular system—muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia.
